Dr. Johnson is uniquely qualified to evaluate your infant’s tongue movement and function and to perform tongue-tie releases. She starts with a comprehensive evaluation of your baby’s entire feeding process, including their feeding pattern, latch, and tongue motion. Dr. Johnson will then discuss all potential care options with you. If a tongue-tie release (frenotomy) is deemed safe and potentially helpful, she will use sterile surgical scissors to release the tongue-tie. This method is supported by research to result in fewer complications and better, faster healing for your baby.

We can help assess any medical issues for both parent and infant, and offer medical support to create lactation, improve milk production, and decrease milk over-production.

Dr. Johnson has supported me through nursing two children for 13 months each and helped develop my husband and me as parents. She is so much more than a pediatrician and I hope she knows how valuable she has been for my family and how appreciative we are of her care.
